BLM welcomes Jackson Civil Litigation Costs Review
14 Jan 2010
After more than a year of research and consultation with leading figures in the legal and insurance sectors, Lord Justice Jackson has published his eagerly anticipated review of Civil Litigation Costs.
Throughout the consultation, lawyers at Berrymans Lace Mawer LLP (BLM) regularly consulted with clients and industry stakeholders to present a coherent and substantive response to the proposals, ensuring the reform of civil litigation costs achieves its aim of delivering access to justice at a proportionate cost.
BLM continues to liaise with clients to help influence and shape policy on costs, as well as to highlight the outcome of the review and the implications this could have on clients' businesses. The firm is holding a focused event for clients on 21 January 2010 to uncover the content and context of the final report, which will be followed by a roundtable discussion on the Jackson paper.
